Technology companies, students, and people all around the world are using Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI has been gaining ground for the past few years and is more prevalent than ever right now. AI technology became more popular because companies created smarter AI tools, such as creating pictures, which helps people work faster and in easier ways.
Many businesses love AI because it does work quickly. It is also doing amazing things in hospitals. AI helps doctors spot dangerous diseases much faster than a human can, which helps save lives. My sister shared her thoughts by saying, “AI is amazing because it helps us finish our work in seconds, but only if you use it carefully.”
Because it is helpful, over 1.3 billion people are using AI every day to create cool pictures and art. This shows how it keeps spreading. It can also help solve complex problems.
However, there are disadvantages to this new technology. Robots are taking over human’s jobs. This means some workers are already losing their jobs. If people really start depending on AI, they might stop thinking for themselves. It will make their brains weaker and make them lazy. It is impacting people all around the world. In addition, using bigger AI machines takes a tremendous amount of electricity, which costs a lot.
My mother shared her concerns. “Using software to answer every question will make people forget how to figure things out on their own. Many people use AI to search for information because it reads through thousands of pages quickly. However, some prefer books or websites because AI can sometimes mix up facts and share wrong answers.”
Furthermore, when people want AI to create art, they just type simple words into a text box, and the computer turns those words into a picture in just a few seconds. My sister said, “People choose to make pictures with AI because they do not need to know how to draw or paint to make beautiful art. It lets anyone turn an idea in their head into a real image quickly.”
People can use these new AI tools on almost any device. It is helpful, but only if you use it carefully.
