Every day, many students and teachers use AI. While some argue whether it is okay to use it, the use of AI in schools is still impactful daily.
According to a 2024 Digital Education Council study, roughly 30% of all students K-12 use AI daily and 70-80% use it weekly.
Students and teachers mainly use AI to help with spelling, formatting, and work problems. Although AI can be used for creative purposes and summarizing, it can be bad in school as many students use AI to do their assignments for them and to cheat. People also argue that AI is a bad thing since people that use AI may not learn everything they need to correctly.
On the other hand, people argue that AI is also used to do good things like teach a student or maybe even a teacher a new topic they might not know or have not understood correctly.
