On March 10, 2026, Lee Heeseung made the heartfelt decision to leave Enhypen. Be:Lift Lab, the company under Hybe Labels, announced that Heeseung would be leaving Enhypen to embark on his solo journey. That same day, he shared a handwritten letter aimed at comforting his fans, known as Engene’s, assuring them that this choice was entirely his own.
Heeseung will be continuing his career as a solo artist as Evan and under Be:Lift Lab. He is said to have an upcoming album releasing sometime in June.
This announcement caught fans completely off guard because there were no clues hinting at his departure. Heeseung is also a major member of the group, often referred to as the “ace”. Seeing him leave, fans started petitions, protests, boycotting, etc… but nothing seemed to be working because Heeseung terminated his contracted with the company.
Another thing that shocked them was that in his handwritten letter he stated something along the lines of, “I chose this path after advised by the company.” This caused a lot of controversy with Engene’s because many thought that the company forced him to leave and this statement supported their claim.
Fans are also extremely mad at the fact that the company removed almost every evidence of Heeseung being in the group with changing formations, removing his products he sold with the group, and things like that.
In the end, a few fans came to accept Heeseung’s departure and continued to support both Enhypen and Heeseung.
