Marvel Rivals, a new hero game, has been out for about 2-3 months now, having been released on December 6, 2024. Marvel Rivals was made when NetEase Games and Marvel Entertainment teamed up to make this game and it’s causing countless other games to worry about losing their own players.
There are only three roles in Marvel Rivals and they are Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist. Each of them give certain buffs and debuffs and all of their abilities do something different, depending on the role that they have.
What the Vanguard role does is it grants more health to tank up more hits than any other role, which makes it perfect for head-on attack. But the downside is that they get a bigger hitbox, which can get their health drained easily.
The next role is the Duelist, which grants a damage buff with a quick fire rate that can cause fast health drain when used correctly. That can cause powerful flanks to take down the enemies mid-fight and can give your team the upper hand.
The last role is the Strategist and what Strategists does is heal team members and that can lead to team wipes if you have a good Strategist, because they can pump heals into you that can stop you from dying and can help the Vanguards to tank more damage for easy wins.
The main struggle for other companies, for instance, Blizzard Entertainment, is that they’re seeing the lowest amount of players in a long time and it’s all because of Marvel Rivals, so these companies will have to start doing something to keep up.
Marvel Rivals has a huge amount of players with interesting capabilities and Gavin can agree. “It is a fun shooter game and it has a bunch of unique characters that have unique abilities.”
