Underground are rappers that haven’t hit mainstream platforms. You might be wondering, what is mainstream? It’s rappers who have over a million followers. Some rappers consist of Nettspend, OsamaSon, and 1oneam. Most of these rappers are young teenagers.
What does the music sound like?
It sounds like mumbling but deep lyrics. The beat is very intense and fast, though sometimes slow. These songs are not very long and are around 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Overall, in my opinion, these songs are good.
Where does this music come from?
It originated in the Bronx and Chicago. In Chicago, the rapper by the name Lucki influences the type of music all around the U.S. The reason he got started is because of the rapper Chief Keef, but he didn’t like that style, so he moved to the underground style, which is a main reason it got started. In New York underground, it’s just music opposed from mainstream, but this genre of underground was influenced by the same music, just different flows.
