The Ballon d’Or is the most prestigious award in soccer given to one of 28 people. This year, it took place in Paris, France at 2:45pm on October 28, 2024. The Ballon d’Or is an important ceremony to all soccer lovers because players work hard all season to earn it and they have to be exceptional.
I spoke with my friend, Deeyan, who said, “Deeya Rodri did not deserve the Ballon d’Or. It means hard work and determination in soccer.”
Vaishnav also had some thoughts on the award this year. He told me that “the Ballon d’Or is rigged.” Strong opinions there from Deeyan and Vaishnav.
The Ballon d’Or is a dream for a lot of soccer players. It’s why they work so hard. The players who win it more than one time are legends, like Ronaldo, Messi, Rodri, Rivaldo, and more. The Ballon d’Or began in 1956.
