The 2025 Puppy Bowl is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 9 in Manhattan, New York. This Puppy Bowl is a competition for puppies and the program raises awareness about adopting pets from shelters. The event takes place on the same day as the Super Bowl. You can watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet and Discovery Channel, TBS, and truTV.
All the dogs who have played in past Puppy Bowls have been adopted – 1,298 of them! The puppies all come from the animal shelters, who make sure that the puppies are healthy and safe. 100% of the puppies gets adopted and this event helps them get adopted because they were abandoned puppies and they needed to be rescued.
In 2024, there were 131 puppies and the team Ruff’s, which had a puppy name Moosh, won in this event. The small puppy in 2024 was about 1.7 pounds.
I spoke with fellow classmate, Nylah, about her knowledge of the Puppy Bowl. She said, “I know that the Puppy Bowl contains a lot of puppies/dogs competing against each other while their owners are rooting for them in the crowd.”
Mrs. O’Callahan had a great reaction to the Puppy Bowl when I spoke with her. “I know that all the puppies are trying to win, but they all are winners because they are so so cute!!!!!”
Tune in on February 9 to watch all of the cuteness of the 2025 Puppy Bowl!
