On October 25th, 2024, the World series in baseball started. The teams playing against each other were the Yankees and the Dodgers. The Dodgers ultimately won the World Series. The Yankees had Aaron Judge and the Dodgers had Shohei Ohtani, who are the two best players right now. This was a great series between the two teams.
Game one on Friday, October 25 was played in Los Angeles in Dodgers stadium. The Dodgers were in the lead and won the game in the end. They won the game 6-3 and were in the lead 1-0.
Saturday, October 26 was the second game of the World Series. The second game was also played in Dodger stadium. The Dodgers were winning the game again. The Yankees hit two home runs while the Dodgers hit four, allowing the Dodgers to win 4-2. The Dodgers were now leading the series 2-0.
Monday, October 28 was the third game of the World Series. This game was played in Yankee stadium. Both teams played a good game, but once again the Dodgers were in the lead. The Dodgers ended up winning the game 4-2 again. The Dodgers were leading the series 3-0.
Game four was played on Tuesday, October 29. This game was also played at Yankee stadium. At first, the Yankees were losing, but then Anthony Volpe hit a gram slam, sending the Yankees to the lead. The Yankees won the game at the end, winning their first game of the series. They won the game 11-4. The Dodgers were still winning the World Series 3-1.
The final game of the World Series was game five. This game was played on Wednesday, October 30th. Game five was played at Yankee stadium. The Yankees were winning 5-0 at first, but then the Dodgers hit home runs and were in the lead. At the end of the game, the Dodgers won 7-6 making them the champions of the World Series.
Several of my fellow classmates chimed in with their thoughts on the series. Yilvania said, “The Yankees should have won.” Clearly, she was not a fan of the Dodgers having won the series!
Tristen had some thoughts, as well. “The Dodgers are trash and the Yankees are the best baseball team ever to exist.” Looks like we have another Yankees fan!
