Doors is one of Roblox’s thousands of games. It’s a pretty popular game with almost five billion visits in the past three years since its release. It was made in 2021 by LSPLASH. LSPLASH is a group created by Lightning_Splash in 2018 known for the primary purpose of publishing his games. Lighting_Splash is a Roblox experienced developer notable for developing multiple games. His most popular game is Doors, which was inspired by this other game on Roblox called Rooms by nicorocks5555.
The objective of the game is to safely make it out of this hotel by going through a total number of one hundred doors. But completing this game isn’t an easy task, as many obstacles lie ahead of you. It also may take you a few tries to safely reach door one hundred, as this game, in my opinion, is pretty challenging.
As you log into the game, you are met with a hallway full of elevators to join different servers. Playing doors does not have to be by yourself, so you and your friends can share the excitement of playing this game. When you enter the server and step out of the elevator, you are met with a register and your first door. To unlock the first door, you go behind the counter to collect the key. Unlocking the first door starts your adventure to reach door one hundred.
But keep in mind that completing this game isn’t asking for the impossible, since the game offers you plenty of tools that will assist you throughout your journey. Some tools may include lockpicks (which unlock doors without the need for a key), vitamins (which give you a few seconds of speed boost), and flashlights, candles, and lighters (which help better see in dark rooms). You can find these items by just looking through drawers or by collecting coins to be able to purchase them. But watch out, monsters called “entities” will make it their life mission to stop you from escaping the hotel.
The first ten doors are really easy because there aren’t usually any entities that will try to stop you. But after the first ten doors, you will likely encounter an entity called Rush. Rush looks like a blackish-purple cloud with a wide creepy smile and enlarged eyes. He flies around really fast with an unusually loud sound. Lucky for you, closets will be near that you can hide in. However, staying in a closet for too long will result in damaging some of your health. As you keep going through all of the doors, you will need to keep an eye out for flickering lights, since they are a signal that Rush is coming. Moving forward, you will need to find keys or solve puzzles to be able to enter the next door. Some rooms will even be dark, which is when an entity called “Screech” comes out. Screech looks like a spider that also has a wide smile and enlarged eyes. He will whisper to you and you have to look around to locate him on your screen. Once you have found him, he will scream and go away. But if you don’t find him, he will jump scare you and cause you to lose some of your health. Even if you do manage to lose some of your health, you can always look through drawers and find bandages that will slowly heal you.
Door fifty isn’t going to be a regular room. Instead, it will be a huge library that you have to escape. Another entity called “Figure” will try to stop you. Figure kind of looks like a human meatball with extended arms and legs. He has no eyes and a giant mouth with pointy teeth that fill up almost all of his face. Figure obviously cannot see, but he has a keen sense of hearing, so you have to be very careful. To escape the library you must find books that have shapes in them, decode them and find the code that unlocks the door. You must also retrieve a piece of paper that tells you the corresponding numbers for the books you’ve found. Crouching is the best way to avoid Figure and escape, since walking normally makes too much noise which he can hear. After escaping the library, your journey continues. Congratulations, you have made it halfway through the game!
After going through door ninety, all rooms from now on will be full of traps and completely dark, making the game even harder to complete. Having a flashlight, lighter, or candle is very essential. There will also be no flickering lights to signal that Rush is approaching. That means that you have to keep an ear out for when he is coming. From now on, the rooms won’t look like normal hotel rooms. Rather, they will resemble hospital rooms. Upon reaching door one hundred, you will encounter Figure again and to be able to get past him, you have to do another decoding. After decoding the puzzle, you have to quickly go into an elevator that marks the end of your journey, but also the beginning of a new one, because doors has recently added a second floor in the game for you to complete.
Personally, I have not made it past door ninety four but, that doesn’t mean that you won’t make it to door one hundred! I guarantee that you and your friends will enjoy this game as much as I do. So if you like horror games, then you should definitely try it out by yourself or with friends!
