Baseball is a well-known sport all around the world. It is most popular in the USA, Hispanic countries, and Asia. It’s a sport where there is a ball being thrown at around 60-105 mph depending on the level of baseball you’re playing. There are nine different positions:

The game is played by two teams of nine players. Each team takes turns playing defense in the field and offense via batting. The pitcher throws the ball to the batter. Defensive players field the ball when it’s hit and try to get the runner out. That is basically the main part of baseball in a nutshell.
Baseball has a lot of history. Baseball is known as “America’s favorite pastime”. This title was given to the sport thanks to its long history and cultural significance in the United States and more countries around the world. The bases in a baseball diamond are 90 feet apart. This measurement was set by the National League in 1877 and is still being used. Babe Ruth holds the record for single-season record for total bases. Called the “Sultan of Swat,” Babe Ruth was extremely famous. He still holds many records yet to be broken, including his record for 457 total bases in the 1921 season. “The Shot Heard Round the World” is one of the most famous events in baseball history. This was a home run hit by Bobby Thomson for the New York Giants during the 1951 National League playoff game against the Brooklyn Dodgers, earning a win and the National League pennant for the team.
