The Tudors was an interesting era that occurred in England during the 1700’s to 1800’s. During this time period, King Henry VII was crowned royalty. He had six wives in his time, one of them being Anne Boleyn.
Anne Boleyn married King Henry when she was under the age of 20, while Henry was in his 30’s or 40’s. No one knows her exact age due to the fact that all information of hers was burnt and destroyed by Henry because he wanted to destroy all traces of Anne after he ordered an executor to behead her. He did this because she gave birth to a girl instead of a boy. Back then, many men wanted their wives to give birth to boys since they thought that boys were more useful and stronger than girls. Henry made up lies about her when demanding to execute her, he said that she was involved in certain “crimes” which I cannot say due to how explicit they are.
Anne gave birth to Elizabeth I, who soon became the queen of England after Henry’s passing. Elizabeth had a 45 year throne. She was the last monarch of the Tudor dynasty ,which went on from 1558 to 1603.
A really weird fact about Elizabeth was that she loved sweets so much to the point where her teeth quite literally became rotten and turned black, which for some reason became a beauty trend where women would paint their teeth black to look like her.
