The Sixth Annual Woodbridge Township Middle School Band Day was held on March 8, 2024 at the Acacia Center, providing an opportunity for instrumentalists from all five middle schools to learn and perform together.
The afternoon was organized by dedicated teachers who “felt it was important for students to come together for a day filled with music and fun,” according to Mrs. Boulton. The three Woodbridge Township high school band directors (Mr. Perdoni from CHS, Mr. Cabrera from JFK, and Mr. Kohn from WHS) provided valuable guidance and instruction to the middle school musicians, teaching them tips and tricks for honing their skills and harmonizing together.
This event is one of the few times throughout middle school when young musicians have a chance to perform with such a large orchestra. The students had to work especially hard to listen closely to one another, remain in sync, and hit all the right notes.
Lunchtime is always a highlight of the day, and this particular day in March was beautiful and sunny, allowing the students to enjoy delicious pizza outside before heading back in for their final performance of the afternoon.
