Leslie Odom Jr. is well-known for previously playing Aaron Burr in the musical Hamilton. There is a rumor that Odom is coming back to Hamilton on Broadway to become Aaron Burr once again. There was another rumor that Phillipa Soo was coming back as well, but that turned out to be false.
Leslie is a 43 year old man who loves to act and sing. The TikTok for the musical Hamilton posted on April 14, 2025 that Odom is returning from September 9-November 23, 2025. The fans are super happy about Odom’s return, but also upset since the whole cast is not coming back.
Leslie wanted to audition for Aaron Burr because he found the character’s personality deeply inspiring. He was particularly interested by Burr’s ambition, strategic thinking, and the emotional depth he showed the crowd, especially as a rival to Alexander Hamilton and a father to Theodosia. Aaron is a very wise man giving Alexander advice, but of course, Alexander doesn’t listen.
