In Bangkok, Thailand, on March 28, 2025 an earthquake hit the city. Over 3,000 have people died and 10,000 people are missing, many likely also deceased. 4,521 people were injured and the death toll could cross 4,000.
The reason the earthquake happened is because the earth’s upper layer is split into different sections, called the tectonic plates, which are constantly moving.
There were aftershocks when the earthquake hit. There are more deaths every day and families are becoming more sad as their family members are dying.
I interviewed Jacob V to find out what he knew about the incident and he stated, “The depressing earthquake in Bangkok killed over 3,000 people, Many buildings collapsed and many people died.”
Noah C also knew a bit about the devestation and he stated, “It was a 7.7 magnitude earthquake and it lasted a couple seconds and 12 mins later, there was an after shock.”
