Bad Bunny is a reggaeton, hip-hop, and rap artist who started as a college student. He was inspired by other reggaeton artists like Daddy Yankee, Hector Lavoe, and Vico C. He wanted to become a singer since he was a kid. When he first released his first song, “Diles”, a Puerto Rican label signed him into Hear This Music.
Bad Bunny released his new album, DtMF, out of respect for his country. The meaning behind the album is that he should’ve embraced and appreciated the moment, the present, those around him, and the people who love him. He is very proud of himself. He said, “I’m proud. I’m grateful to the world.” He does so much for his country and Puerto Rico loves him very much. He always goes back home, because that is where he came from.
He has released seven studio albums. His first ever album was X 100pre, then it kept going to Oasis, Las que no iban a sailr, YHQMDLG, El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo, Un Verano Sin Ti, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Manana, and lastly DTMF (Debi Tirar Mas Fotos). 103 single songs have been released, one mixup, and one EP. One of the people I interviewed asked, “What’s his music about?” His music is about self-love and inclusivity, and addresses the injustices and problems faced by Puerto Rico.
Overall, DtMF is trending worldwide and is the first album on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs. Bad Bunny has improved with every album and song. As a fan of Bad Bunny since 2016, I am very proud of the work he has done, and I will always listen to him whenever I can.
