Everybody knows that fashion is important, but some people don’t know how important it really is. How can fashion be super important, you might ask? Well, fashion trends are sometimes based on politics. Trade agreements and tariffs have a major effect on fashion trends. Fashion trends tend to change with society and what people like, and they will continue to change because people, pop culture, and social media are constantly changing. Politics are also constantly changing.
Fashion trends tend to last only up to a year, but they will repeat themselves every 20 years or so. Let’s see how important fashion is to our fellow students. “Fashion is important because it can tell a lot about you and your personality,” says Elizabeth.
We also have some input from Vincenzo, who says, “Fashion is important to me because I want to look good.” I think everyone can share that desire.
Why would fashion be personally important? “Fashion is also a way to show freedom and creativity in what you wear,” Elizabeth added.
Since fashion trends repeat themselves every 20 years, let’s see what year of fashion we are repeating today. Fashion trends today are quite like they used to be in the 2000s with miniskirts, baggy pants, oversized looks, and 2000-era styles of jeans.
