Dance Club is like a dance school, but at FMS and it’s easier and more fun!
In Dance Club, we do hip-hop and Hispanic dances, along with choreographed and performance dances. We also have rehearsals and practices. Dance Club is on Wednesdays after school, meaning we stay after school for one to two hours. If you take the late bus, you leave at 4pm and if you get picked up by a family member or you walk, you get picked up at 5pm.
Everyone who joined the Dance Club is included in different groups. Some are for easier dances and some harder, so the dance teacher, Ms. Martino, tries to put people in dances that they can do successfully instead of including them in dances where they’ll struggle.
The hip-hop dances are for the 5pm group, so only the people that get a ride home from family members or walk home are able to do it. The 4pm group does Hispanic dances like salsa and bachata.
Dance Club is a great way to learn new choreography, get some exercise, and be with a great group of friends!
