Have you ever imagined walking around outside with headphones on and with a beautiful view? If so, let me tell you about nature and music mixed together. You probably already know what nature is, however nature is defined as “the physical world and everything in it.” Now music is something everyone should know about!
Let’s say you were having a really bad day and you talked to your friend about how you felt, but it only made you feel better at that moment, not in general. Obviously, there are many ways to relieve stress or emotion, but sometimes you need something unique and different, such as nature and music. People usually listen to music to release their emotion, which honestly does make you feel better. But, what if you do it in a more open place, like your local park, beach, or neighborhood?
For instance, when I feel stressed or frustrated, I like to take a walk during the evening to see a pretty sunset and get a nostalgic feel. At the same time, walking is giving me physical activity, which can also help boost my mood. Places I definitely recommend going in New Jersey are:
1) Seven Mile Beach, Stone Harbor. This is the destination for anyone looking for a quiet ocean getaway in New Jersey.
2) Paterson Great Falls. This 77-foot high waterfall on the Passaic River is a beautiful waterfall, but there are also historic buildings.
3) Buttermilk Falls. You can see the falls from the bottom, but you can also hike around the falls.
These places are genuinely magical and very peaceful.
Now music is what adds the touch. I have many favorite genres of music, but my top one definitely has to be R&B. There’s many different types of R&B, For instance, 2000s R&B, soul, and contemporary R&B. Jhene Aiko and Frank Ocean are artists who personally release a lot of emotion throughout my day. We obviously all have our own likes, but those are my picks. They’re both very peaceful and calming, which helps me take it slow and move smoothly.
To sum it all up, nature and music are a very unique way of releasing stress and emotion. Many people enjoy this combination. I definitely think it should be added to people’s schedules. It’s adding physical activity with a mindful pastime, which gives a boost to your mood.
